I spent so many years suppressing those types of thoughts because I always relied on others to tell me what to eat. I never trusted myself to know. But this thinking about food is different from the food-centered angst I’ve lived with forever. Obsessing on the “bad” food I restricted, always being afraid that I’d veer off the plan and then if I did, beating myself up constantly for my lack of willpower. It was exhausting and draining. Now, thinking about food is fun!!

I think the most valuable part of our sessions has been experiencing the way you communicate with your clients. It has taught me how to approach my problems with curiosity rather than judgment. After multiple sessions, I’ve discovered that I’m starting to talk to myself the same way, and it has made a huge difference.

Gabrielle helped me understand how to listen internally to my own body cues and pay attention to how my body felt after eating. It was always a positive, supportive experience with no judgement and only curiosity. By the end of our time working together I didn't feel the need to try to control anything and I had become friends with food again. This freed up space in my mind to think about other things like going back to school and changing my career into something more fulfilling.

I’ve come to realize that intuitive eating isn’t just about eating when I’m hungry — it’s about learning to trust my body, interpret its many signals, and adjust my behavior accordingly. And RPE-ating is more than just a way of eating; it’s a holistic approach to life. In a world where technology makes it so easy to lose touch with ourselves, this practice has been a powerful tool to stay balanced, grounded, and self-aware.

I can’t tell you how much you have changed my whole prospective of diet expectations, food freedoms and eating for fuel. You have been the gentle, guiding voice of reason I needed to break a vicious cycle and some bad habits, thank you beyond words.
